SensL

SensL uses a newly devoloped technology to design large area photocounters and low-light detectors, which can be seen as the successors of classical photomultiplier tubes.

SensL is THE example of a young startup company with a very good concept: their Geiger Mode photodiode technology is used for the detection of photons and low light levels. They replace the classical photonmultiplier tubes (PMT's) which have their typical restrictions.

Products from SensL

SensL now offers 3 low-light detector platforms, all 3 based on her patented Si-technology:

• Photon Counting en Timing systems
• Silicon Photomultipliers (High-Gain APDs)
• Photon Counting Arrays and Low Light Imagers

These last products deserve extra attention; the SensL SPMArray4 replaces the classical position sensitive Hamamatsu PMTs like the H8500, H9500 and R8900.

The advantages of the SensL SPMArray4:

• low operating voltage,
• high reliability,
• high uniformity,
• smaller form factor,
• magnetic field immunity,
• full readout solutions available.

Array-products;

SPMArray4: 4-side scalable MR compatible SPMArray technology
SPMMatrix: 256-channel imager, based on SPMArray technology
