Miniature direct-drive torque table for Industry and Research

Ruchservomotor designed and produced different series of torque tables: for instrument-industry, for machine-building industry and for research.

One of the main features of the very small RSMR-24 series is its small diameter of less than 20 cm., and its low profile of 42 mm.

Short design description of the RSMR series:

• torque motor (rotary synchronous motor)
•  a fixed unit called the stator or primary part
•  rotated steel ring with permanent magnets called the rotor or secondary part.
• The stator consists of a coil unit that is encapsulated in thermally conductive compound.
• the motor has built-in sensors for overheating protection. The smoothness of movement is achieved by sinusoidal commutation of currents in the coils.

Advantages:

• Small diameter, low profile, hollow shaft (dia112mm), no mechanical transmissions, high precision, very good repeatability, no backlash, smooth movement.

Applications:

• Wafer handling, pick and place machinery, indexing tables, research laboratories.

Other main specifications of the RSMR-24:

• peak torque 45 Nm, continuous torque 17 Nm.
• maximum continuous velocity: 400 rounds per minute.
• load capacity: 25 kg.
• repeatability: 3 arcsec.
• accuracy 35 arcsec.
• resolution: 0,5 arcsec.
