Genia Photonics introduces a new disruptive patented proprietary fiber-based laser technology.
We see 3 types of applications for Genia's picosecond fiberlaser platform:
- In biomedical applications, laser users will be able to perform structural imaging such as OCT, perform cell identification including cancer diagnostics by performing non-linear spectroscopy such as CARS and SRS, and ablate tissue; all with a user-friendly fiber-based laser system.
- Advanced picosecond material processing, where controlling the pulse parameters, such as pulse width, repetition rate, burst-mode, is a key factor.
- Scientific non-linear spectroscopy and non-linear optics in general - including quantum optics - where the programmability of the laser parameters adds flexibility in experiments.
Genia lasers are portable, fully electronically controlled and programmable.

Synchronized programmable laser
- combines above programmable laser and MOPA in one laser system
- wavelength sweeps at up to 100.000 λ/sec while keeping synchronisation and compensating for chromatic dispersion in the experimental setup.
